August 2004 - Ken fish visit.

Internal Martial Arts Master Dr. Kenneth Fish visited Sifu Dale and the Eagle Claw Kung Fu school during august 2004. While in England Dr. Fish gave two seminars on traditional Hsing Yi fighting skills, both in empty hand applications and Hsing Yi broadsword fighting techniques. These seminars focused heavily on correct use of structure and mechanics to generate power. The seminars were attended by Eagle Claw students and many other practitioners of Chinese Kung Fu. The seminars were very well received and all attendees left having learned allot of fine detailed instruction. 

During Dr. Fish's stay Hung Gar Kung Fu Master Jim Ugow and Chow Gar Tong Long Kung Fu Master Paul Whitrod were invited to join Dr. Fish and Sifu Dale for dinner in Chinatown, London. A very enjoyable evening of fine food was enjoyed by all at the Gallery Rendezvous Chinese restaurant Soho, west 1,London. Also in attendance was Dr. Roderick Lane a leading clinical nutritionist and homeopathic doctor and Stuart Keating - Si Fu dale's top student.

Visit to Checz Republic

Sifu Dale traveled to the Checz Republic to visit his only sanctioned European school. While there Sifu Dale gave a seminar to the students and also met with Fu Jow Pai (Tiger Claw) Chat Sing Tong Long(7 Star Preying Mantis) and Yang style Tai Chi Chuan Kung Fu Master Jiri Husek. Master Jiri Husek was very kind to prepare a sumptuous meal at his Kwoon (school) and provide overnight accommodation for Sifu Dale before he departed back to England. Sifu Dale would like to personally thank Master Husek for his kindness and hospitality and is very happy to have now made a solid bond of friendship with Master Husek and his students.

April 2004 - Move to new school

After 6 years at it's current location the Eagle Claw Kung Fu school moved to new larger more spacious premises in Maidenhead, with over 2,000 sq feet the new school is able to accommodate the increased growth in students, and offer a wider range of services and facilities.

April 2004 - Jackie Chan Documentary

Sifu Dale was chosen to be the Martial Arts expert in the Jackie Chan documentary "The Crossing" celebrating Jackie Chan's 50th birthday in April of 2004. Sifu Dale gave Martial Arts demonstration and interviews for the program. Joining Si Fu Dale on the documentary was Cantonese language Master and teacher Mr. Victor Appiah

November 2003 - Master Lau visits the UK

Master Gini Lau traveled to the UK to visit the World Eagle Claw European headquarters giving seminars in eagle claw techniques, Tui Na - a method of treatment and medicine using the acupuncture points of the body, and to test the senior students.

 

Sifu William Wan visit April 2003

In April 2003 a Close Kung Fu friend of Sifu Dale, Sifu William Wan, traveled to England to stay at Sifu Dale's home and give a number of open seminars. The main reason for Sifu Wan's visit to the UK was to perform at Seni 2003 at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham promoting his new school in Hong Kong and traditional Bak Sing Choy Li Fut. Sifu Wan gave demonstrations in forms, weapons and his Iron Shirt Nei Gung

Combat hall of fame years 2003

Sifu dale was inducted into the Combat Magazine international hall of fame in 2001, in 2003 Sifu Dale was again awarded for his dedication and promotion of traditional Chinese Martial Arts in both the UK and abroad.  Each hall of fame awards night is a black tie affair with many high ranking martial arts Masters attending. 20 of Si Fu Dales students and family attended in both 2001 and 2003

October 2002 - The School goes to Hong Kong

In October 2002 twenty students of the Lau Tat Mang World Eagle Claw kung Fu Association traveled to Hong Kong on the date of late Grandmasters 100th memorial anniversary to pay their respects. All the students traveled to the late Grandmaster's grave where they attended to the grave, cleaning it and paying their respects. Sifu Dale had accompanied Master Gini Lau with two of his students the year before to clean the late Grandmasters grave and put gold leaf into the lettering of the headstone, this was done under the guidance of Masters Gini Lau.  during their trip they also performed at a number of events in Hong Kong, at Aberdeen park, Kowloon park and in front of 1,000 kung fu Masters and students at the annual Northern Shaolin Association and Gu Yu Chueng Association banquet. During their stay the students also enjoyed seminars with Grandmaster Lung Kai Ming in Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, Master James Wong - Kwai Wong in Chen style Tai Chi Chuan and Master William Wan in Bak Sing Choy Li Fut. During our stay we were privileged to meet Hong Kong film star and the exceptionally highly skilled Hung Gar Kung Fu Master, Master Mark Houghton. We would like to thank Master Houghton for his kindness and generosity that he showed to us while were in Hong Kong.

China trip 2001 and documentary information

In September of 2001 Sifu Dale travelled to Hong Kong and China with two of his students. During the stay in Hong Kong Master Gini Lau also travelled to Hong Kong to partake in the making of a Martial Arts documentary produced by Guava Productions. Sifu Dale's senior student Stuart Keating returned back to the UK from Hong Kong and the filming continued into China. Many different Kung Fu Masters and styles were filmed. Master Jian Cheng Ji and Master Lung Kai Ming were very helpful in setting up meetings with many renowned teachers. Among the styles filmed were Tong Bei, Wu Shu, Chen style Tai Chi Chuan, Yi Chuan, Hsing Yi, eagle claw, Choy Li Fut, Yang and Sun style Tai Chi Chuan, Northern Shaolin style, Chow Gar Praying Mantis, Hung Gar and many more. Special thanks goes to president of the Hong Kong Chinese Martial Arts Association Mr. Gong Pui Wei. 

During the stay in Hong Kong  a large number of the late great Grandmaster Lau Fat Mang's  early students got together for a memorial party, this was probably the first time in a long time so many of the senior students had got together. Meeting the senior students of late Grandmaster Lau Fat Mang was a unique experience.
